Harbor Shores Golf Course
Since its highly anticipated opening in July 2010, the Golf Club at Harbor Shores has quickly become a premier destination for golfers from throughout the Midwest.
Even before the course was completely open, it was chosen to host one of golf’s top events, the Senior PGA Championship. This major Championship is known for its intensely competitive level of play among the legendary names in the game. And Harbor Shores will provide the dramatic, picturesque backdrop for it not once, but twice––in 2012 and 2014.
KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship
Since its founding in 1916, The PGA of America has maintained a twofold mission: to establish and elevate the standards of the profession and to grow interest and participation in the game of golf. By establishing and elevating the standards of the golf profession through world-class education, career services, marketing and research programs, The PGA enables its professionals to maximize their performance in their respective career paths and showcases them as experts in the game and in the multi-billion dollar golf industry. By creating and delivering world-class championships and innovative programs, The PGA of America elevates the public's interest in the game, the desire to play more golf, and ensures accessibility to the game for everyone, everywhere. As The PGA nears its centennial, the PGA brand represents the very best in golf.
Beginning in 1937 on the grounds of Augusta National Golf Club, the Senior PGA Championship is the most historic and prestigious event in senior golf. The Championship brings together both the legends of the game and the newest members of senior professional golf to new audiences throughout the United States. Over the last 74 years, the greatest names in golf have lifted the Bourne Trophy as Senior PGA Champion: Sarazen, Snead, Player, Palmer, Nicklaus, Watson. In 2011, KitchenAid became the presenting sponsor, and began an alliance that elevated the Senior PGA Championship to new heights.
Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club
Always rated at the top of the southwest Michigan public golf courses and the finest Benton Harbor golf course, Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club has consistently received the 4 Stars rating from Golf Digest’s – Best Places to Play. Lake Michigan Hills is located in the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area and celebrates over 40-years of golf service to the community. The course architect, Charles Maddox, Sr., treats the golfer with many elevation changes, generous tree-lined fairways, multiple tee options, and large undulated greens.
Our clubhouse and banquet facility is located high on top of a bluff overlooking the golf course, creating a beautiful and perfect setting for wedding receptions or other private parties.
Point O' Woods Golf and Country Club
Located just a few miles from the shores of Lake Michigan, the Point is nestled in the heart of Southwest Michigan’s wine and fruit country.
Our country club is not only steeped in history and tradition, it also conveys a comfortable and personal ambiance rivaling the finest member owned clubs in the country.
Point O’ Woods, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. masterpiece, is known for its walkability. The park-like atmosphere with rolling terrain weaving past challenging greens, strategic hazards and the stands of venerable trees (some 6600 in all), was all part of the plan 60 years ago when Jones laid out the course which he later described as “perhaps my best American course.”
Recreational and clubhouse amenities include an 18 hole golf course, swimming & diving pool, tennis courts, a snack bar and restaurant. All this, along with a stylish new clubhouse overlooking the 18th green, makes for a family-friendly venue.
