2024 St. Joe Farmers Market

Market-goers will enjoy fresh finds at the weekly St. Joe Farmers Market. Vendors will offer a variety of products including baked goods, locally grown produce, perennials and cut flowers, meats and cheeses, coffee and more! This event is held Saturdays in the scenic Lake Bluff Park, overlooking Lake Michigan.

Enjoy extended market hours (9:00a-4:00p) on June 1, July 20, August 17 and August 31 to coincide with the Lake Bluff Artisan Fair!
 
Please note that there will be special hours for the market on July 13 during the Krasl Art Fair - stay tuned for more details!

2024 Chalk the Block

Summer is in full swing as artists take over Broad St., and part of the Pleasant Street Plaza, in downtown St. Joe during Chalk the Block! Attendees can watch as both amateur and professional artists prepare their squares on Friday evening, work all day Saturday and enjoy the completed chalk masterpieces on Sunday. This family-friendly festival showcases regional, national and international artists, using the quaint lakeside town as their backdrop.

 

PEOPLE’S CHOICE

Attendees can vote for their favorite chalk masterpiece in the People’s Choice. Tickets will be sold at the People’s Choice Tent on Broad St. for one dollar each on Saturday from 12:00p-8:00p and Sunday from 11:00a-2:00p. One dollar equals one vote.

    • Forever Books celebrates their 22nd year on April 1 - stop in to receive a free book (Advance Reader’s Copy) with every $20 purchase. They have a lot to celebrate, as this month also marks Independent Bookstore Day on April 24!
    • The Candlestick Maker celebrates their 10th year on April 6 - Chief Fragrance Officer Judi Benninghoff has offered a mix of locally made crafts from over 30 artists, as well as home decor. The Candlestick Maker would like to thank all of their wonderful visitors, vendors and the regular “Shop Dogs” that have stopped in over the years. Judi and her son Ed look forward to serving the community for years to come!
