There’s a lot to explore this holiday weekend in Michigan's Great Southwest! Watch the golf pros take on Harbor Shores during the KitchenAid Senior PGA, honor those who have served our country during the Memorial Day Parade, support local farmers with the start of the 2022 St. Joe Farmers Market season. THURSDAY, MAY 26

The KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship returns to the Harbor Shores, May 25-29. Watch as golf’s most prestigious seniors take on the premier destination for golf in the Midwest! Visit srpga.com for event and ticket information.

Every Thursday, The Livery hosts a Community Night from 5:00p-8:00p. This week’s featured non-profit is Benton Harbor Public Library! Stop by for a tasty craft brew or some delicious food. A portion of the sales will be donated!

Urban Garage Market (UGM) hosts their first workshop in their new St. Joseph location! Join UGM and The Turquoise Top Hat for a Faux Succulent Planter Boxes workshop at 6:00p.

 

FRIDAY, MAY 27

Honor veterans who have served this great country and remember those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom at the annual Memorial Day Parade at 12:00p in downtown St. Joseph. The parade will begin at the intersection of Lake Blvd. and Park St. Attendees will be able to watch as the parade travels down Lake Blvd. and finishes at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell. Immediately following the parade, everyone is invited to a short program at the bandshell.

Round Barn Brewery hosts a Tiki Party at 5:00p in The Beer Garden at Public House! Attendees will enjoy tropical drinks, live island jams, and food. 

There is no shortage of live music throughout Southwest Michigan.

SATURDAY, MAY 28

The 2022 season of the St. Joe Farmers Market kicks off this Saturday! Market-goers will enjoy fresh finds at the weekly market, May 28-October 8, in Lake Bluff Park from 9:00a-2:00p. Vendors will offer a variety of products including homemade goods, locally grown produce, perennials and cut flowers, meats and cheeses, coffee and more! 

Lemon Creek Winery hosts a two day Wine and Art Festival, a celebration of art, music and wine! Attendees will enjoy live music and delectable wine as they shop local artisans.

Don’t miss the Berrien County Youth Fair Car Show from 9:00a-1:00p. Car enthusiasts will enjoy a variety of car classes: newer cars (1997 and newer), older cars (older than 1997), rat rods, muscle cars, restored cars, SUV’s/trucks/vans.

The GhostLight hosts their latest production, Little Women! Based on Louisa May Alcott’s 1868-69 semi-autobiographical two-volume novel which focuses on the four March sisters. Catch the last weekend of the show this Thursday-Sunday!

 

SUNDAY, MAY 29

Round Barn Estate hosts their annual Island Spirit Party from 11:00a-6:00p! Attendees will enjoy tropical cocktails and live music. 

Stop by the Box Factory for the Arts to view their latest exhibition, the Michiana Annual Art Competition (MAAC) on display now through July 3. The MAAC is a local juried fine art exhibition featuring Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana artists. 

Berrien County Historical Association (BCHA) hosts their latest exhibit Against the Grain: Wood and Our Daily Lives. This exhibit features BCHA’s vast wood and lumber collections to tell the story of a material that shaped Berrien County’s many communities. Check out this exhibit now through July 4, Wednesday-Sunday.
