Luminary Weekend kicks off the holidays in Michigan’s Great Southwest! Early gift shoppers will enjoy extended hours, specials offers and more as they stroll through 1,000 luminaries in downtown St. Joseph. This weekend will also feature sneak peeks of specials, one-of-a-kind gifts, free gift wrapping, new merchandise, events and festive fun this holiday season.

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19
Stroll through our downtown as luminaries light your way to kick off the holiday season during Luminary on Friday, November 19 from 5:00p-8:00p! Participating locations invite you to eat, shop, drink and be merry while you enjoy this charming lakeside town.

Southwest Michigan businesses and restaurants host a Countdown to New Year, a daily giveaway event December 1-31! Shoppers earn one entry per $25 purchase (one time or cumulative) at a St. Jospeh Today (SJT) member business. Qualifying purchases must be made between November 19 and December 17. Receipts for purchases must be presented to an SJT staff member at the Welcome Center by December 17. 

Get a preview of Wanderlust Outfitters Black Friday sales from 5:00p-8:00p during Luminary! Early holiday shoppers will also enjoy sustainable gift wrapping that evening.

Lazy Ballerina Winery hosts extended hours until 8:00p as well as a Pop Up Show feat. Kimy Battista from 5:00p-7:00p! Grab a warm spiced wine and stroll through downtown in the Social District during Luminary.

Forever Books hosts a Book Signing with local author Kelly J. Baptist from 6:00p-8:00p.

Catch an Artist Pop-Up Market from 5:00p-8:00p at Waterfront Framing & Design that will feature eight local artisans/small businesses!

DK Boutique will host extended hours until 8:00p on Friday night! Throughout the weekend, shoppers will enjoy a 20% off storewide sale (excluding Pandora and sale items).

State Street Stuff hosts hourly drawings and giveaways starting at 5:00p from items in The Playful Pantry!

 

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 20
Journeyman Distillery hosts an Autumn Artisan Market on Saturday from 11:00a-7:00p and Sunday from 10:00a-5:00p. Wander the historic Featherbone Corset Factory with a craft cocktail while you shop local artisans and makers!

It’s Deer Widow’s Weekend at Urban Garage Market this Saturday and Sunday! Grab some friends and enjoy special holiday sales and tasty treats. Get entered for a chance to win a UGM gift card when you make a purchase.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21

Don’t miss the Annual Member Show at the Box Factory for the Arts! This year’s theme “Birds of a Feather” was inspired by Kimberly Wood’s mural on the exterior of the Box Factory. Attendees can view the show Thursdays from 12:00p-6:00p and Fridays through Sundays 12:00p-4:00p.

Shoppers and diners alike will enjoy a magical experience this winter season while downtown. Winter lights have been placed along State St. (from Elm St. to Ship St.) as well as Broad St. and Ship St. (Lake Blvd. to Main St.) and Pleasant St. (Lake Blvd. to Court St.). The winter lights will kick off on Luminary and remain up through February in conjunction with Light up the Bluff (December 3 through February 15). This project is presented by the City of St. Joseph.
