Designed to showcase talent, the SMSO presents a concert featuring skills from a wide-variety of sources:

- The acclaimed talents of soloist Jonathan Beyer and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Chorus for the epic cantata by William Walton, Belshazzar's Feast, 
- A world premier of Alan Palider's (SMSO bassoonist) piece, Michigan Mosaic
- The youthful talents of the Lake Michigan Youth Orchestra for its Side by Side piece with the SMSO.
