As we gear up for Spring, there’s a lot to explore in Michigan’s Great Southwest. Join us this weekend for March Mannequins, a Spring Artisan Fair, live music, delicious food, tasty beverages and so much more. Read on to make the most of this jam-packed March weekend!

 

FRIDAY, MARCH 8

March Mannequins, presented by St. Joe Today, returns on Friday, March 8 from 7:00p-8:30p! Watch storefronts of participating businesses come alive during March Mannequins in downtown St. Joe. Windows will display community volunteers as they pose perfectly still, like mannequins. This year’s theme features Board Games! Vote for your favorite window at stjoetoday.com/vote. Sponsored by the Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council and The Boulevard Inn & Bistro.

INSIDER TIP: Voting will be open from 7:00p on Friday, March 8
until 11:59p on Sunday, March 10! Please limit to one vote per person.

The month of March kicks off the 2024 Children’s Coastline Film Festival! This Friday catch the Young Filmmakers Competition & Awards + a screening of The Blue Bird (81 minutes, ages 6+) at The Oak Room at The Citadel. 

The Lake Michigan College Visual & Performing Arts Department hosts their Student Recital at 12:00p in the LMC Mendel Center Deckmann Studio! Free and open to the public, this event is the first of three Spring recitals.

Every Friday, from 12:00p-9:00p Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant, hosts Tabor for Two. For just $50, you get dinner for two which includes two entrees and a choice of soup or salad.

Twin City Players presents the 4th production of their 91st Mainstage Season! Join them for The Red Velvet Cake War a side-splitting Southern comedy about three cousins throwing a family reunion. Watermark Brewing presents Comedy Night at the Solarium! Doors open at 7:00p, show starts at 8:00p; 21+. This event features headliner Wyatt Lutz and guest spot feature Justin Pedick! 

Catch live music at The Livery featuring The Smokin’ Dobroleles at 8:00p! Grab a tasty brew and some delicious food and get ready for a night of great music.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9

Shop over 30 local artisans at the Spring Artisan Fair, presented by St. Joe Today, from 11:00a-4:00p! This event will be held indoors at the Union+Social Event Venue in downtown St. Joe (around the corner from Silver Harbor Brewing).  Find everything from candles and jewelry to home decor, baked goods and more!

JLN Studio hosts a Kids Turtle Painting Class from 10:00a-11:30a! No experience is necessary; all painting supplies and instructions are included. Recommended for ages 5+!

Learn how to make decorative nest centerpieces with Fernwood Botanical Garden at their Spring Nest Centerpieces workshop from 1:00p-2:00p. Attendees will choose from a selection of vines, twigs, grasses, feathers, mosses and more! 

Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with Sister Lakes Brewing from 3:00p-7:00p! Attendees will enjoy live Celtic Music with Brian McClure, Reuben Sandwiches, House-Made Corned Beef and Cabbage and Green Beer!

The YMCA of Greater Michiana hosts a Kids Night Out from 4:30p-9:00p at the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph location! Let the Y watch the kids for the night - activities include crafts, watching a movie and dinner is provided.

It’s the Day of the Dude at Peat’s Cider Social from 12:00p-7:00p! Attendees will enjoy White Russians, Happy Hour Bowling (all day), Munchies by The Brick House, Big Lebowski Screening, Prizes for Best Costume and live music!

The Berrien County Historical Association hosts a quarterly Scavenger Hunt at the Museum! Now through March 31 enjoy the Cozy Winter Scavenger Hunt at the Courthouse and Residence only. 

 

SUNDAY, MARCH 10

Start Sunday out right with at Wine & Brunch hosted by Lazy Ballerina  Winery and Dad’s Farm & Cafe from 11:00a-1:00p! For just $30/person, attendees will enjoy Chef PJ’s Breakfast Scramble (not available at the Cafe), avocado toast and one drink of their choice. Reservations are required!
